Gen Z uses their smartphones excessively and is easily bored while doing so. The phenomenon shows boredom as something negative. We took this idea and changed boredom into something positive. Boredom creates creativity. You can fill an inanimate object with life if you just change how it’s used. Daily life is not daily life anymore if you turn it on its head. And that’s exactly what TikTok does and what we celebrated! This is not a normal Ad. In a creative team of four, we developed the whole campaign and brought it from pitch process to picadilly circus. On Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook and even inside the Google Playstore we invited people to celebrate boredom with us during the X-Mas Holidays just by downloading the app.
